Letters to the Editor From: Miss Chambers Greetings from the other side, This site is very well done. There, I said it, glad that's out of the way. Yea, I am glad it's out of the way too. I normally don't look a gift horse in the mouth but I have learned that attacks can start with a complement. Lets get down to business. I am a true blue, "card-carrying member of the ACLU" liberal, which means you can make plenty of jokes about me after you read this. May I stress, however, that it is indeed your right as an American to belong to a crap party. Ok, but I would rather belong to a crap party than a carp party and all the Democrats do is carp, carp, carp. In fact, I can tell a Democrat from a Republican on TV without even bothering to hear what they are saying. Try this. Listen to the Fox News Channel without paying attention. The guys who speak loud, fast, who speak over their opponents, take more time than they are allotted and are generally rude are all Democrats. Then listen to what the person is actually saying. All spin and bull shit with no substance. Besides having a Democrate call the Republican party crap is a complement! So, thanks! I commend you for staying positive. I know you must be dreading this upcoming November, when you and your Republican swine shall be crushed like the squishy little bugs you are! (Though I won't be assisting in the bestowing of the said crushing, as I am of a lesser age-It doesn't show, does it?-such that I am not able to vote in the upcoming presidential election mentioned above.) You said, "crushed like the squishy bugs you are", "I am of a lesser age - It doesn't show, does it?". Well, yes, it shows but that's ok everyone starts out young. The important thing is to vote Republican or Libertarian when you grow up! <smirk> I must say, a humorous Republican is a rare beast, but you seem to have a handle on this specific type of political satire. But *pshaw* I say, for the "Compassionate Conservative" link. What the truck is that? Is it possible that you allowed such a disgrace on your site as an example of the politically ridiculous encompassing both parties? Compassionate conservative, as I'm sure you know, is a big, giant political oxymoron (except maybe John McCain, I'm somewhat fond of him ever since he hosted SNL). I ask you, how can someone who holds the record for presiding over the most executions (113) in a gubernatorial career be deemed "compassionate." The whole presidential turkey pardoning thing was truly ironic. (I'm still trying to convince myself that the Thanksgiving bird Bush fed to the American troops was really ToFurkey.) Geez, do I really have to explain this? Many Republicans are intentionally humorous. In fact, there are several humor books written by Republicans. They are funny and well worth reading even if you are a Liberal. Check out Bob Dole's books. If you don't like reading then I refer you to Bob's television Pepsi advertisements. I thought they were really funny. Especially the one with his dog. Here is the reason you don't think Republicans are humorous. Most of the popular media is controlled by Democrats. TV, newspapers and radio programs poke fun at Republicans mercilessly. Republicans tend to write books. You have to go looking for them. Democrats also have a "fire in the gut" so there are many thousands of Republican jokes. That is why this site exists. I was sick of being bashed and looked on the Internet for some relief. Google found thousands and thousands of sites with jokes about Republicans. Zero sites with jokes about Democrats. There are a lot more now but this site was the first. More "Ha-Has" on the Rush Limbaugh link. What a breadth of political satire that cretin provides. Yes, an equal opportunist, that is what you are. Merci beacoup for the laughs. May Republicans and Democrats someday find themselves equal on the funny factor. Who knows the cosmic effects that could have on late night television? Miss Chambers (If you're going to change my name, could you please make it something cool and less-British sounding, perhaps a little ethnic, like Farqhaur Nannybottom or something?) Hey, glad to be of service. I did provide a link to the DNC for extra laughs. I really would like to see the Republicans and Democrats having equal time on the funny factor. I think the effect would be good for everyone. Who knows what would happen if everyone could laugh a little bit more. I think it would be a better world. By the way, per your request I changed your name to Miss Chambers. No one will ever know your real name and I didn't keep a copy. You may be too young to know who Miss Chambers was (I am not) but she was actually an important porno star a long time ago! If you knew a little bit about her political career (not her acting) you might find that funny! The Editor.
