Letters to the Editor Subject: "Comments From Republican" Just thought I would let you know how extremely disappointed I am with your website. I hit it just out of luck...I despise Democrats. My first hit was to the jokes section of your website...it is Friday night and I was ready for a good laugh. I was quite disappointed with my first and only choice to your website. I chose the joke you have labeled "a test of your ethics." I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the joke, and quite frankly was not humored at all. I can NOT STAND Hitlary Clinton, but in a situation portrayed in the joke, regardless of her political affiliation, I would NOT hesitate to save her life if I could. In other words, if you think you are impressing people with this type of joke, YOU'RE NOT. I personally have my own opinions about First, no more caffeine for you! Second, you need to get your blood pressure checked! Thirdly, it was a joke! Do you understand joke? No one expects anyone to standby while another person is dieing if they can do anything about it. In addition, why are you not mentioning all of the similar jokes where President Bush is the victim? As Shakespeare would say, "Me thinks the lady doth protest too much"! In other words, I think you are a Democrat in Republican clothing. In addition, if you don't like the salad do you despise the remainder of the dinner? You only read one joke. Get over it. the political battle ahead of this country. I will not be voting for any democrat in my life time, however, the problem lies in the simple fact that, many who visit your website are not so sure of themselves as I am. As Sean Hannity puts it, "they don't get it!" Someone who reads that "joke" as you call it, are not any more humored by it than myself. You are not helping Pres. Bush by any means, in portraying Hitlary Clinton in the manner you do. Her agenda speaks for itself...all you need to do is focus on that, and any reasonably intelligent person will arrive at the same conclusion...the political career of Hitlary Clinton does not need to advance any further than it has...there is NO benefit to the US if it does. Ok, I don't like Hillary Clinton and I think she is bad for the country but you misunderstand the intent of this site. It is not a hate Please consider your approach to what you believe. We are ALL entitled to our opinions, which is a luxury in this world...unfortunately, this includes Hitlary. There are MUCH better ways to approach your dislike of her than in the joke displayed on your website. Please consider removing it, as the only persons it will attract are people that are already Republicans. There are a very small percentage of "swing voters" that will misinterpret that joke and assume that all Republicans are that way...you are not helping Pres. Bush. Unfortunately, there are alot of STUPID people that will be voting...you are only helping them make the wrong choice for President. Please change your joke and tone if you want to sway a swing voter to Pres. Bush's side. The joke about Hitlary is not going to get Bush re-elected. One more time; this is a joke site! I don't think it can influence anyone much less swing votes. It is for the express enjoyment of those views who enjoy it. It is not intended to be for the enjoyment, education or swaying of those who dislike it. As you said, "we are all entitled to our opinions". I don't mind that you dislike my opinions or ways of doing things but I do have the right to them. Therefore Ms. Clinton, I will not remove the joke about you. Gotta go...bed time. Ms Clinton, so many jokes come to mind... I am voting for Bush regardless of your distasteful joke about Hitlary, however, how many have already read it and think that Republicans would actually think twice about saving any life...you are not helping anyone, except sKerry. Thanks, Guess what, I will still be voting for President Bush in spite of your resentful and somewhat rude letter and I dislike some of his political positions. Enjoy! The Editor
