Letters to the Editor From: cachie Hey there; I was sitting at my desk the other day, fuming about a discussion I had with a co-worker, when I typed in Ihatedemocrats.com I had no idea the site existed, and I am so very glad I found it. The postings I read re-enforced my belief that there are people out there that are still thinking straight. The argument I had with my co-worker? Well, one, she's a democrat. That makes her wrong from the "get-go". ~chuckle~ But the issues that concerned me more are 1) She thinks John Kerry has NEVER flipped on issues, and is a "straight shooter" (here is a man who states that his HAIR will help him win the Presidency). 2) She believes that the Untied States should NOT make pre-emptive strikes against countries or groups that are planning to attack us. Uhmmm.... WHAT?!!! I guess her feeling is that we should just sit, and wait? I realize that her opinion does not represent the Democratic Party's stance, necessarily. But, I do find that a good number of democrats I speak to Hey, I feel your pain! That is why ihatedemocrats.com exists. I got tired of being bashed by Democrats and decided a little humor was in order! I guess she didn't believe September 11 was a first attack! I did and I believe that all sovereign nations have the right to defend themselves without permission. While I know the Democrats don't like it, the last time I looked the United States was still sovereign over itself. feel the same way, and it scares the HELL out of me. Do these people NOT understand that at this very moment, they are groups of people actively plotting to KILL as many Americans by ANY method they can? I can't help but wonder how their opinion would change if it was their son, daughter, mother, father, husband, or wife that was forced to leap 100 stories to their death rather than to be burned to death. I cannot, in my wildest dreams, imagine what that decision could have been like. Maybe they think the terrorists will spare Democrats? Actually, Democrats are big cry babies whenever anything happens to them. Watching the Dems on TV tends to make me want to visit the refrigerator, unless it is Senator Kerry. He makes me want to visit the bathroom! Also, if you have a moment, please go to tommorowsworld.org, an evangelistic site. In their "commentaries" section, they talk about the attacks on the Twin Towers being an ACT OF GOD because we were not behaving the way the bible states we should. They have the audacity to say that thousands perished because people don't behave the way The Living Church of God thinks they should. It makes me sick. Do these idiots not realize they are protected, and allowed to practice their sick beliefs because they live in the very same country that was attacked? Furthermore, how is their fanaticism any different than those who attacked us? (besides the fact that they don't have the balls to kill anyone). Geez, I hope these guys are not Republicans! I heard this argument from someone I know who is very religious. I tried to tell her it was bull but she could not listen. They also happened to be a life long Democrat. I don't think people who hold this view are really Republican or Democrat. I think they are brainwashed robots that believe anything their minister tells them. I think those ministers are just evil. If there is a hell they are going to know it! With so many people out there believing all sorts of crazy nonsense, it's comforting to find that there are still SANE thinkers around. I apologize if I sound like I'm ranting. Perhaps I am. But damn it, I'm ANGRY. More so, I'm frightened that Democrats/liberals are going to "good will" us right into oblivion. Why do people believe crazy nonsense? The answer is because this country is so great, so wonderful, so free, that they can. Feel good, this nation can afford to allow crazy people to help run things. In some countries they cure these kind of people. The cure usually involved a bullet. No true believing Democrat would live past 30 days in a communist or dictatorship country. You should also remember that the main reason Republicans get elected is because Democrats split their votes. There are a lot of sane people who are registered Democrat. They, like most Republicans go about their lives without spewing garbage everywhere. Actually, you do not sound like you are ranting! You sound as frustrated as I was before I started this site. Now I have this site as an outlet and I am not as frustrated. In addition, I feel like I am helping a few folks, like you, to feel better! In any event, thanks for your site! Keep up the good work!!!
